After a culinary adventure across the world, Abhishek (one of the co-founders of We Idliwale) set out to explore how regional food could be re-interpreted. Inspired by the quintessential South Indian QSR (Quick service restaurant) these two passionate founders launched We Idliwale — a modern twist on classic South Indian cuisines.

A Mix-Match of Type
The logo, in one way, celebrates the mix of people coming together to enjoy an honest meal. These mixed characters are a signal to South Indian cuisines — A culmination of cultures, a melting pot of influences.
Tagline
The tagline for the brand, 'Decentralising the Idli' is a pseudo-intellectual take to add a light-hearted, hatke tone to We Idliwale's voice.

We Idliwale "Mini"
For smaller formats like kiosks, stalls, and pop-ups, We Idliwale needed an extension to it's identity. So We Idliwale “mini” was born, with an identity inspired by the bright and charming Athangudi tiles.

Receipts are simple by design. Our communication is bold, straight-forward and with clear hierarchy.

Retail Packaging
We designed the packaging for Kadle Pudi, a potent roasted chana dal powder from Gokak, Karnataka. The packages are 200g craft paper standup-pouches with a window in front and a label that pastes around the pouch.
The whole label is is made up of 2 stickers. One is for the label which starts at the back and wraps around to the front. The second is the white we idliwale sticker which goes on top of our label.
